What the scholars said about this name
The Prophet ﷺ changed the name Barrah (“pious”) to Zaynab and said, “Do not claim purity for yourselves; Allah knows best who among you is pious” (Muslim 2142). He also forbade naming servants Yasār, Rabāḥ, Najīḥ and Aflaḥ (Muslim 2137). Ibn al-Qayyim applies the same reasoning to Mubārak, Mufliḥ, Khayr, Surūr and Niʿmah. These names are disliked (makrūh), not forbidden.
