Ruling
What the scholars said about this name
The Prophet ﷺ said: “Do not name your servant boy Yasār, Rabāḥ, Najīḥ or Aflaḥ, for you will ask, ‘Is he there?’, and when he is not, the answer will be ‘No’” (Muslim 2137; also 2136). Jābir reports that the Prophet ﷺ meant to forbid names such as Yaʿlā, Barakah, Aflaḥ, Yasār and Nāfiʿ, then said nothing more about it and had not forbidden them when he died; ʿUmar later thought of forbidding them, then left it (Muslim 2138).
